As the goalkeeper watched from the bench as his side cruised to a 2-0 win, Dami gave birth to a bouncing baby boy and Adeyinka revealed that the baby was born as the referee signalled the final whistle.

Adeyinka will now be on the road with his team this weekend to face Abia Warriors in matchday 17 at the Okigwe Township Stadium.

It was double delight for Adewale Adeyinka yesterday afternoon, as his team defeated Wikki Tourists to move into the fourth position… and also him learning about the birth of his nephew.

Speaking to Lodgexpress Sport Correspondent, Faith Onwukwe after the game, a delighted Adeyinka said: ‘My sister gave me the best news of the year so far and according to the time they told me the baby arrived, it was the same time the referee blew the final whistle.

‘He’s so cute and I can’t wait to hold my baby nephew in my hands and wrap my arms around his body. It’s a special evening all round as my team returned to winning ways. What a day it was!’
