Akwa United centre-back, Olisa Ndah, has reacted to the highly anticipated Super Eagles game against Mexico in Los Angeles in July 3.
And Gernot Rohr, Head Coach of the Super Eagles, has dismissed the home based Eagles chances when they take on Mexico but Delta state born Ndah is saying these current breed of home-based Super Eagles have what it takes to cause a stir in America
“Mexico don’t scare us. They may have big name players with quality, but we shall match them grit for grit and skill for skill. We are going into the game as underdogs and we are okay with that and it will spur us to perform well against Mexico,” Ndah told Completesports.
“We are motivated by the fact that we were chosen to play Mexico A Team and the only way to justify the confidence reposed in us is by trying to win the game. It is also an opportunity for us to exhibit our talents and give our career a boost.”
The Super Eagles B Team is expected to jet out to Los Angeles, for the international friendly with Mexico with 22 players and 10 officials on Wednesday, 30 June.
