Akwa United’s Adewale Adeyinka was delighted with his cleansheet in victory over Katsina United.
Adeyinka retuned to the starting eleven after being rested during their 1-0 loss against Lobi Stars in matchday 5 and he capped off his return to the sticks with a clean sheet.
He told Lodgexpress after the game:
“We are pleased because the team won and continued to defend the title. Katsina United played well, things didn’t work out like in other matches but we were favorites to win.
“It delights everyone in the team including our esteemed supporters when we win and I hope we continue to do so.
“I am working hard and contended. I am pleased to have played my part and contributed my quota today. I train every day in order to be set and help the team when the coach tasks me with the obligation to do so.
“Everyone wants to play, you have to be patient and I always have been.”
Akwa United’s next game comes up on Wednesday and it’s a huge clash with Enyimba in Aba.
