Ivory Coast footballer, Moustapha Sylla has collapsed on the pitch and died.

It was gathered that the footballer died at the age of 21 as a result of heart attack.

The defender collapsed during the game between Racing Club Abidjan and SOL FC at the Robert Champroux Stadium in Abidjan on Sunday.

‘Management sends sincere condolences to his family. Rest in peace Moustapha. Rest in peace LION.’

The club said Sylla’s funeral would be held on Monday at the municipal cemetery in Dabou, Ivory Coast.
