Katsina United goalkeeper Yusuf Mohammed was full of delight following his sides 3-1 victory of Enyimba on Sunday.
In-form attacker, Samuel Kalu opened the scoring for Katsina United in the 19th minutes before Rasheed Ahmed and Abdulwasiu Mahmoud put the lead beyond the reach of Enyimba in the 39th and 42nd minutes respectively.
Enyimba pulled one back in the second half through Anayo Iwuala strike in the 51st minutes but it was more of a consolation goal.
And shotstopper, Yusuf Mohammed who impressed the spectators yet again with his solid display from the back, said in a post-game conference:
“The result feels so good and we all saw it coming even before the kickoff. Enyimba is a good side but we are Katsina United and we gave them a good fight.
“We came all out pushing and at first it appears as though they’ll contain our pressure but it wasn’t long enough before we got our opener.
“I was aiming at increasing my clean sheet tally but got beaten. It hurts on one side but on the other side we have a victory to celebrate.
“We are now 14th on the log and have are still pushing to finish atleast top 6”.
