We need to stop conceding early – Dakkada wonderkid, Ayaosi after Wikki Tourists comeback win

Dakkada whiz Emmanuel Ayaosi has implored his teammates to avoid conceding early goals.

For the second match in a row, the Uyo outfit came from a goal behind to gain a positive result, with Wednesday evening’s comeback taking place right in front of their home supporters in the 2-1 win against Wikki Tourists in the NPFL Matchday 2.

After coming from behind to draw Bayelsa United 1-1 in their first league game of the season on Sunday, Dakkada secured a come-from-behind victory against the Bauchi giants having conceded to Ismaila Maiyaki after just 2 minutes.

Forward Kufre Ebong’s 30th-minute superb lob gave Umar Danladi’s men a breather at half time before veteran skipper, Aniekan Ekpe netted from the spot to hand them all maximum points. But attacking sensation Ayaosi says these sorts of efforts can be avoided if everybody is switched on from the onset.

“It’s like against Bayelsa United we played really cool until they struck us first this is one thing we need to change if we are to compete for the top spots,” he told Lodgexpress official website.

“If you begin the game 1-0 down it makes the pressure really high and winning difficult. We need to be strong and approach the game with aggression from the first minute until the end.

“I think during the game against Wikki we played well, but it was a difficult start.”
