Bayelsa United new signing defender, Ogundare Arise, is preparing for the crucial matchday three showdown this Sunday against Remo Stars in the Nigeria Premier Football League.
The center-back who made a move from Dakkada to Bayelsa United during the summer transfer window, has shared his thoughts on the upcoming matchday as he also prepares to make his highly anticipated debut.
He told Lodgexpress official website;
“This is a big match for us, and we’re preparing diligently for it. Remo Stars are a tough opponent, but we have a strong squad, and we’re ready to give our all on the pitch.”
Bayelsa United recorded a 5-3 victory over Akwa United on opening day fixture.
“I’d also love to stress that football is not just about scoring goals; it’s also about preventing them. While we enjoyed a high-scoring victory in our first match, we understand that each game is unique. He added.
“Our focus is on maintaining a strong defensive line and working cohesively as a team. We don’t necessarily have to score five goals in every match to win.
“A solid defense and effective teamwork can secure victories.”
