Akwa United striker Kufre Ebong admitted frustration after their 0-0 draw with Bendel Insurance on Saturday.
Ebong came in as a second half substitute and had a big chance to score, but couldn’t find a way past Insurance goalkeeper Amas Obasogie.
He later told Lodgexpress official website, “I want to score every game. I didn’t quite manage to do it today.
“We’ll settle with the point. Three would’ve been better but we now shift focus onto the next one.”
On if Akwa United are building something, Ebong added: “We’ve got a fantastic squad. We’ve had quite a tough start with fixtures but the last two games are two draws we probably could’ve got wins from. It’s probably a negative in that point but there are a lot of positives to take and build on.”
