Henry Udezuka was happy with his Bayelsa United debut in their 2-1 win against Kwara United.

The 18-year-old midfielder came on as a second half substitute in the 75th minute, replacing Garando Tekena in the middle. Robert Mizo struck twice for United before halftime.

“It felt great to be on the pitch,” Udezuka told Lodgexpress.com. “We have had that time in training and we have been working so hard, so it is great to show that in matches now. We have been working on a few different tactics.

“I personally liked the role I was featured in today. Being able to drop deep and build up the play from the back, but with that freedom to roam forwards and make runs into the box and be involved in more attacks.

“I like to begin the press, to give the opposition players something to think about and then try to combine that with an attacking move and rhythm of our own.”
