FC Ifeanyi Ubah attacker, Uche Onuoha has called for focus from his teammates as they take on Northern bigwig, Kano Pillars on Sunday in NPFL matchday 29.
The skipper was pivotal for the Anambra outfit during their home triumph over Heartland last week.
And getting ready to lead the team that will lock horns with Kano Pillars at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Onuoha told Lodgexpress;
“It’s going to be a huge clash because the major trophy of the day – the three points, is very vital for both teams. Pillars will be needing the win to see them return to the top of results elsewhere goes in their favor while we on the other end will be needing the maximum points to push us out of relegation zone.
“They’ve got the qualities in their team but that won’t deter us. We held them tight during our first encounter at Port-harcourt, they got a lucky goal and were also lucky it was a neutral ground else I don’t see how they would have bested us.
“The players are determined not to leave Kaduna without getting atleast a point and I must admit I’m confident we can beat Pillars, if they could defeat us at a neutral venue, I see no reason we shouldn’t do same come Sunday.
“I just want to call on the guys to give their all, we know our position on the log and it’s a place we’re not used to. There’s still time for us to right our wrongs and turn things around for the better with the remaining games and above all, I wish no one gets injured in this quest”.
