FC Ifeanyi Ubah winger Nonso Nzediegwu can only be proud with his performance in triumph over Nasarawa United on Sunday, knowing fully well he was a catalyst in the crucial 2-1 victory.
The sensational youngster was named in the starting eleven of manager, Uche Okagbue and he returned the faith with a stunning display, grabbing a goal and making an assist in the win.
Nzediegwu’s assist to forward, Uzochukwu Ifediofor in the 71th minutes saw the team earn a must needed victory whereas his goal in the 28th minutes was what gave the Anambra Warriors an edge over the stubborn visitors.
The important victory means FC Ifeanyi Ubah still retain hopes of escaping relegation after being stuck in 18th position with 34 points from 32 games played and just two points separating them from 15th, 16th and 17th placed sides, Wikki Tourists, Sunshine Stars, and Jigawa Golden Stars respectively.
Nzediegwu’s performances so far this season has steadily improved especially since the start of the second quarter. He has bagged a total of six goals and has managed 5 assists so far and is not showing signs of slowing down anytime soon.
