Ebonam Nwogbaga dedicated victory over Plateau United to interim coach Kayode Adeyemi who took over the helms of affair at the club following the exit of Deji Ayeni.
Adeyemi’s first major task at the dugout was against high-flying side, Plateau United who before now were enjoying a 12-game unbeaten streak. Nwogbaga was named in the starting lineup and came close to scoring at some occasions before coming off in the 60th minute.
Nwogbaga said during a post game interview with Lodgexpress: “It’s a victory that we devote to the boss Adeyemi. Every first game is always the most difficult.
“In such a difficult situation we were able to secure a win. We were organized and played very well. He (Adeyemi) instructed us to push them really high, he asked us to press immediately, it worked because we could retrieve the ball immediately they gained possession.
