Kwara United ace midfielder Abdulraheem Shola admits he’s now feeling better about life in Illorin since rejoining the club during the summer.
Shola came in as a second half substitute and was outstanding in Kwara United’s matchday three draw at Rivers United.
He told Lodgexpress official website post-game: “I’m so happy now, not just for yesterday’s match, but also for the start to the season I had playing in front of our home supporters. I’m enjoying playing football again. I want to achieve great things with this team. I knew good times would be back any day and that we’d soon return to being in top form starting from this game. The pitch doesn’t seem to be that big anymore. I move better and feel fine again.
“The fans have supported me at all times. They always told me I would be successful here and now they are enjoying watching me play. I’ve had good memories at this club. I now wish to have more of them and to have continuity. The coach decides what’s best for Kwara United and I’m making good use of the chances I get.
“Our objective this season is to challenge for everything, win the titles and secure a continental spot. It won’t be easy, but we have the coach and the group of players needed to achieve this.”
