Doma United new signing Samuel Matthew was happy to make his debut against Niger Tornadoes, despite defeat.
Doma slipped to a 1-0 loss to Tornadoes on Thursday courtesy of Idris Munir stunner.
“It was a tough game because they were well organised defensively and after the goal it was tough because of how they play. In the second half we kept pushing for an equalizer without success,” Samuel told Lodgexpress official website.
“I was introduced in the second half and I felt good to have made my official bow for the club in the league. But the important thing would have been winning.
“It was a great experience and I have to play better every day to pay back that affection.”
