Remo Stars goalkeeper Kayode Bankole says their matchday four win against Sporting Lagos was deserved.
Remo Stars came from behind to win 2-1, with Kwame Mawuena and Sikiru Alimi scoring, with Kayode Bankole outstanding on the evening.
He told Lodgexpress official website post-game said: “It was a very tough regional derby game against a great team of young, fast players. In the end, we grabbed all three points, but it was not easy – right until the final second.
“Our character since the start of the season has been massive. This is not the first time we’ve had to come from behind to secure a win here this season. You need to be focused for 90 minutes. It was better for us to go into half-time at 1-1, and then we scored another early into the second half.
“At the end we were suffering, but the three points stay here and that’s the only thing that matters.”
