Enugu Rangers captain Uche John has hailed the performance of his teammate Chidiebere Nwobodo after victory over Wikki Tourists.
Chidiebere Nwobodo scored a brace in the 3-0 win.
Uche who had a very elegant performance in the centre of backline later told Lodgexpress official website: “I think everyone who watched the game saw how good Chidi was, with his strength, his pace, his experience and how he plays with the ball and without the ball. It was an amazing game which he topped with that brace, which made it 2-0, so all round it is fantastic to have Chidi playing for us.

“Everybody in the team gets credit. A characteristic of this team is that we play as a team all together. It is true two attackers scored and the defenders kept a clean sheet against a strong Wikki Tourists team but we worked really hard, especially in the second half.
“It is credit for the front line as well. They are the first ones who press and make the job easier for everybody and that’s how the team should work, from the top down to the goalkeeper.
“We’ve recorded amazing results playing against tough opponents in our last couple of games but we have to be humble enough to know that we are not at our best level. This team has shown we are able to play against any team with the same mentality, always trying to control the game, to create chances, to be solid playing as a team.

“Now it’s important to keep working because the league is almost coming to an end and we can be glad not to play our remaining two games under pressure. We are in a safe position but there is still a lot of work to go ahead of us.”
