Center-back Prince Okorie insists Abia Warriors should be proud of their start of the season.
This is coming after they recorded a 1-0 victory over Kano Pillars all thanks to Sunday Megwo goal.

He told the Lodgexpress official website: “I’m sure you would have looked at how we have progressed so far this season, which is how we’re looking at it. We were there last season, we were fighting and we obviously still wanted to be at the top, but I think we can all look back and see a season of progress and reflect on it as a good start.
Abia Warriors started the season with a 1-0 win over Niger Tornadoes, played their second game and lost 1-0 at Kwara United and returned to matchday three to grab a narrow 1-0 win over Kano Pillars.
“It’s hard to predict what might happen coming into the season, but we have a lot of faith in ourselves and we know we’ve really grown as a team from last season.
I think last season was a year where things started to click for us, especially in the way we wanted to play, the terms the coach has taught us to play and the philosophy we believe in.
“That has all come together, as well as the massive support from the fans. The atmosphere at the Umuahia stadium this season has been amazing, and has really rallied us in our last two home games.
“It’s all little things piecing together, and we still have a long way to go which is the exciting thing. We have a lot of young players that haven’t reached their peak yet, and with time we will get there together.”
