Lodgexpress owner, Ejimafor Itumo has hailed Abia Warriors captain Nweke Kalu as one of the ‘best players in the NPFL’.
The playmaker was instrumental in Warriors’ win over Bayelsa United on Wednesday, grabbing the opener and playing on the passes which resulted to their second goal.
“He (Kalu) is one of the best players in the Nigeria topflight division,” said the media enthusiast, who also hailed the skipper for his brilliant assist on opening day derby win against Rangers.
“He posseses an outstanding quality as a leader out on the pitch, but it’s the way that he makes that work for the whole team, and links up brilliantly with the other players, that makes him quite unique.
“Kalu deserves the love from the supporters. They can’t decide who they show their affection to but the vital thing is that every squad member gives their all out on the pitch and win the heart of the fans.
“Abia Warriors are currently sitting on top of the group B standing and are scoring goals, making assists and winning games and that is the main thing especially when it has to do with the abridged league format, every point matters.”
