Adebayo Waheed Ajawa (Niger Tornadoes): Winger
Adebayo Ajawa is a Nigerian professional footballer who plays as a winger for Nigerian topflight league club Niger Tornadoes.
He is one of the most promising young players in the NPFL. He’s been highly revered among Niger Tornadoes fans since arriving from Katsina United during the transfer window, and it’s easy to see why when you watch him play. He’s got the pace, strong on the ball, and he knows how to pick a pass.
Rated as one of the most promising young players in Nigerian football, Ajawa is a quick, talented and technically gifted wide player, with good vision, dribbling skills, and explosive acceleration and speed. He has the capability of operating on either flank, or even in the centre, as an offensive midfielder or as a second striker.
Although Ajawa is naturally right-footed, his preferred position is on the left, which gives him room to beat his opponents in one-v-one situations, cut into the centre onto his right foot, and either strike on goal, create goalscoring opportunities for his teammates, or make attacking runs into the area.
He scored twice and registers eight assists to his name last season while at Katsina United.
