Africa’s brightest young talents in Nigeria football are set to take centre stage over the course of the next five months as the Nigeria Premier Football League kicks off this Sunday.

Alege Toyin (Gombe United): Defender
Alege Toyin is a powerful central defender, who is predominantly known by many for his physical strength, pace, anticipation, ability in the air, and tackling, as well as his distribution, technique, and ability on the ball, which allows him to carry the ball out from the backline, or start attacking plays from the back with his long range ability.
Toyin has been described by Gombe United manager as a tactically intelligent and versatile player, capable of featuring as a centre or defensive midfielder due to his positional sense and his game reading ability.
Being a quick and strong center-back, along with his technical ability and distribution, Toyin was a very big threat to his opposition players especially when going forward to contest for set-pieces or assisting his team offensively last season in the Nigeria Premier Football League.
