Northern giants, Kano Pillars kept continued their title chase this season after beating Dakkada FC 2-0 at the Sani Abacha Stadium on Sunday to move into third.

The Sai Masu Gida returned to winning ways following a disappointing 1-0 loss at Sunshine Stars in matchday 32 to narrow down the points between them and table toppers, Akwa United to just three.

Pillars weren’t deterrent with the absence of their high profile attacker, Ahmed Musa as first half goals from legendary midfielder, Rabiu Ali and David Ebuka were enough to see if the Akwa Ibom outfit.

Kano Pillars now occupy third on the log with 58 points from 33 matches, level on points with Nasarawa United who’re sitting second and just three points separating them from league leaders Akwa United.

Their next game is a trip to Enugu to face Rangers International who slumped to a 2-1 loss against Heartland in same matchday.
