Sunshine Stars midfielder Michael Olalusi is delighted with his current form.
A penalty converted by Olalusi in the 95th minute gave the Owena Whales a 2-1 victory over Abia Warriors on Wednesday.
Olalusi, 20, has now scored five goals in six games and has netted two times in two of his last substitute outings.
“Personally it has gone really well, I have played a lot of matches and I just want to continue improving and hopefully score a lot more goals,” Olalusi told Lodgexpress.com.
“Every time I find myself on the pitch I’m just going to give it 100 per cent. I’ve seen players leave and I just don’t want to do that. I’m not just a player, this team is my boyhood club, so I just want the best for Sunshine Stars.
“Our season was going really well until the defeat against Katsina United, but after that the win against Abia Warriors was massive.
” Coming from a goal down to get the three points and getting back on track straightaway shows that a defeat is not going to knock us off our stride.”
