MFM FC center-back Adebayo Alimi was left satisfied with their 1-1 draw against Shooting Stars over the weekend.

Ojodomo struck late for MFM FC to cancel out Chidera Ezeh’s opener.

“It would have been really disappointing to lose a game after playing that well,” Alimi told Lodgexpress official website.

“We made a couple of mistakes in converting the chances we created. There were some minutes of terror from the hosts just before half-time on the counter after we lost possession but we were good enough to repel their attacks.

“Coming into the second half, we were better, paradoxically when we were meant to have scored, we got the pass wrong. Ojodomo’s equalizer was really special because at this stage, every single point counts.

“Shooting Stars were very aggressive, so we had to move the ball quickly to get it behind them. The game in general was a very entertaining one, we were down by 1-0 and risked losing, but we fought hard to secure the important point. We needed to secure a win, but knew Shooting Stars were strong and so we’re happy to return to Lagos with the great one point.”
