Monday Akile says Lobi Stars teammate Atule Joseph works hard to etch out match winning performances like he did on Saturday against Dakkada in Uyo.
The already relegated Dakkada thought they had won all three points when speedster Joseph Atule was hauled down in the box by the hosts defender.
“He does that for us, but with him in the team you know he will get his chances or create them,” said Akile after the 1-1 draw.
“He’s always at a good spot, at the right place and also the defensive work – he digs in, works hard and it’s always easy to play in the team with a guy like this.
“Everyone here knows he [Atule] is a workhorse, he’s very classy. What a player. And he’s also a great person, very relaxed.
“He’s been extraordinary this season and his stats speaks for itself. We’re a counter-attack team so we just have to try to get the ball to him and let him try to get past 20 players. He’s one of those players who has electrifying speed, I can’t praise him enough.”
