Lobi Stars midfielder Monday Akile is hoping for teammate Joseph Atule to continue his goalscoring this season.
After not finding the back of the net after Matchday 3 for the Makurdi outfit, Atule returned to his goal scoring ways when he netted from the spot against Sunshine Stars on Wednesday to earn his side the 1-0 victory and his teammate Akile has his fingers crossed that his goalscoring form will continue.

Akile told Lodgexpress website: “It’s nice to see Atule scoring again.
“You could sense he is really determined to get himself on the scoresheet in all of our games and he again proved that after gifting us the victory against Sunshine Stars.
“It wasn’t just him. There are a few other players – including myself – who are really interested in the goals, but I’m delighted for him that he’s finally got off the mark.
“As soon as he fired that shot, it was heading to the direction of the goal before the defender stopped it with his hand which earned us the penalty!
“Hopefully now he’s in a great place where he can just go from strength to strength and score many goals.”
