Warri Wolves center forward Uche Ihuarulam has told his teammates they still have a chance to finish the season strongly.
The Seasiders are currently battling to survive relegation with FC Ifeanyi Ubah United and Sunshine Stars.
They’re currently sitted in the 19th position with 34 points from 34 games played with five points separating them from 16th placed Jigawa Golden Stars and four matches remaining until the end of the season.
“Listen, we still have a job to finish above relegation zone,” the talisman told his teammates during his post game press conference with Lodgexpress following a 3-0 loss to Akwa United on Wednesday.
“We’re stuck in the 19th position and our aim is to finish as high as we could. It becomes a big disappointment when you lose that chance you have it in your hands especially for us fighting to escape relegation.
“Everything now lies in our hands and our result against Akwa United is not something we expected. In four days time we will have a massive tie against Wikki Tourists and we must use this game to send a message to other teams. We have to play from here to the end of the campaign like it is a final match and get all the maximum points as possible”.
