Gombe United goalkeeper Itodo Akor has highlighted the importance of keeping clean sheets following the 1-0 win over Bendel Insurance.
The Savannah Scorpions got back to winning ways on the weekend after suffering a 2-1 defeat at Shooting Stars.

The goalkeeper claimed that it was vital for all the players to work as a team in order to keep just their second clean sheet of the season under new boss Baba Ganaru.
“Obviously we worked for this clean sheet,” Itodo told Lodgexpress official website.
“It’s always nice not to concede goals. Our last two away games we have conceded goals and this is bad for the whole team.
“As a goalkeeper I obviously don’t like this so from the whole team the message was clear: work together.
“We need to work as a team.”
