Gombe United goalkeeper Itodo Akor says keeping clean sheets has been his main aim this season.
Itodo have kept three clean sheets in their last five games, including Saturday afternoon’s 1-0 win over Plateau United in the Nigeria Premier Football League.
“I’m trying to work hard at my game in training, to enjoy my football.” He told Lodgexpress official website.
“It always helps a lot when we’re winning games and scoring goals and equally keeping clean sheets. From my point of view, and for the back four, keeping clean sheets has been a big target and we’ve been defensively solid in the league so far this season.
“It’s about carrying that on now. It’s a big thing for me and it’s as satisfying as the boys up the top scoring.”
