Andrew Ikefe believes it is the teamwork that exists between all the players that drove Plateau United forward this season.
The Peace Boys experienced a fantastic season, with the club having secured foot in Champions League football next season after finishing behind league champions, Rivers United in the just concluded Nigeria Professional Football League season.
When quizzed by Lodgexpress official website about the key to their success, Ikefe responded by saying: “Teamwork.
“We had great unity among ourselves, not just up front but when it comes to defending too, we worked really well together, and I think that’s the main reason.
“I hope that we can carry on in this way.
“I’m really delighted for the way we ended the season and it’s my best one to date, but it’s not over. We have a big competition to prepare for. So I hope that we can continue like this, carry on improving and giving our all on the pitch.
“On a personal note, I’ve been working hard to make this happen, and I’ve been doing things right and I’ve been improving.
“Are we doing anything differently in training? That’s a secret of ours! That’s our secret. I can’t tell you anything…”
