Doma United midfielder Hilary Ekawu says there’s belief inside the hiw team’s dressing room that they can snatch a spot in top three this season.
For any chance, it will mean Doma winning atleast three of their remaining six games.
And the midfielder who was involved during their 2-1 over Niger Tornadoes on Sunday told Lodgexpress official website; “It’s not too late. We will probably have to win all our games to have a chance of finishing in the top three, but that’s goal.
“We feel that with the games ahead and the form we are in, we owe it to ourselves and the manager and the fans to aim for maximum points and let’s face it, the top clubs in the NPFL do that.
“They set out to win all their games, they set out to string together a run of victories, they go away from home and get maximum points, and they achieve those aims. That’s why they are in those top positions.
“If we want to be a side like that, then we have to adopt that mentality and set ourselves those same goals, and that what we have in mind right now. We can still get there even if it will take a remarkable run, and we have to think like that now.”
The win on Sunday moved the Savannah Tigers to second on group B standing with 19 points from 12 games. Rivers United are same number on points and placed third with two outstanding games to play.
