Enyimba star Eze Ekwutoziam hailed teammate Chukwuemeka Obioma after victory over Gombe United.
Obioma scored a hattrick in the 5-0 rout, caused major problems for the opposition defenders with his pace and power and his finishing was just flawless.
“Oby has much hunger and thirst for goals,” said Ekwutoziam who was directly involved in the build-up to two goals. “He’s always in the right place at the right time and, if he’s the highest goal-scorer it is for a reason. He’s a very important player for us and I’m very happy to have him on my side.
“We were returning to training a few days after playing our national cup of tie with Rivers United and didn’t had much time to prepare for the game,” he added.
“Gombe United are always fighting for the top places, so it was important to get the win and the team worked really well to get it, so we’re happy.
“Now we will make some recovery tomorrow and then start preparing well for our final game of the season.
“Every fixture in the Nigerian League is a tough one, so we’ll try to do what the boss wants us to do.”
