Enyimba attacker Eze Ekwutoziam is delighted to have made his Champions League debut this season in the preliminary round.
Ekwutoziam admitted that playing in Champions League debut for Enyimba was a dream come true, let alone scoring, which he did against Al Ahly Benghazi of Lybia on Sunday night.

“I wanted to debut in the Champions League and I didn’t care if it was just eight or ten minutes, it was a dream of mine as a kid and on top of that I played the entire duration and scored,” he told Lodgexpress official website.
“This will stick in the memory forever.
“I imagined scoring a goal in that competition, but not against such a strong team.
“It was a dream.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to represent Enyimba on such a significant platform. Despite the result, I believe we displayed great character and teamwork. We’re focused on the return leg and are determined to turn the tie in our favor.”
