Rangers captain John Uche believes that the draw with Sunshine Stars at the Akure Stadium on Sunday was a fair result for both sides.
Sunshine Stars and Rangers played out an enthralling Nigeria Premier Football League encounter and at the end, the two teams had to be content with a share of the spoils as the match ended in a 1-1 stalemate.
It has to be said that both Owena Whales and Flying Antelopes had wonderful chances to claim the victory on the day but following the game, Rangers skipper and center-back has stated that the two sides could not have any complaints regarding the final result.
Uche told Lodgexpress official website: “Both teams showed how much they want the three points and went for it. I am sure it was good for the neutrals to watch.
“We are glad that when we were trailed we still fought back to earn the point.
“A draw was a fair result in the end. They are such a good team. They’ve got runners everywhere, they’re all sharp.
“It is not the easiest of days coming here. We can’t be too disappointed with a point.”
