Rivers United have completed the signing of Rangers playmaker Shedrack Asiegbu.
The Nigerian midfield ace moves to Rivers as a free agent.
Asiegbu came off contract at Rangers at the end of last season – bringing an end to his 3-year stay at the club.
The midfielder has agreed a one-year contract with the Pride of Rivers.
He told Lodgexpress official website;
“I spent three seasons at Rangers and of course experienced and learnt many things there as part of my career growth.
“I progressed both as a player and person, last season we had a tough campaign where we all had to fight for survival and so that helped things like my mentality too.
“I’ve learned quite a lot and now I’m happy that I can come to another big city to help Rivers United succeed.”
He added: “Here’s a new adventure, I’ve spoken with some people already and they told me that Rivers is a really nice city to live in.
“It’s a nice club and one which I’ve followed over the last few months. It’s an exciting adventure for me to play in the Nigeria Premier League with Rivers.”
