Bendel Insurance winger Deputy Echeta has agreed to join Rivers United on a two-year deal.
Rivers United have included an option of further extension in the deal for the 22-year-old which will officially be finalized in the coming days.
Echeta joined Insurance back in 2022 from a tier two side Giant Brillars and enjoyed a breakthrough debut season in the Nigeria Premier Football League after helping his club finish the regular season unbeaten.
He also guided Bendel Insurance to the Federation Cup victory thereby securing a spot at next season’s CAF Confederation Cup playoffs.
Echeta made 16 appearances for the Benin Arsenal, primarily being deployed on the left flank where he netted 4 goals and assisted twice.
