Doma United left-back Andrew Majalisa was delighted to score in Saturday’s NPFL matchday two victory over Bayelsa United.
It marked the Nigerian full-back’s first goal for the club.

“First of all, I am very, very happy we won the match and I could contribute to the result,” Majalisa told Lodgexpress official website.
“I am very pleased to score my first goal for Doma. The thing is, I practice a lot of set pieces in trainings and when the opportunity presented itself to try to attempt a strike from that distance, I’m glad I delivered it perfectly. It was a good hit but a bit of luck also as well.
“They had two or three chances, that’s it. They were moments it seemed as though we gave away the ball, Bayelsa United had some minutes of ball possession, and one time they came close to scoring but the important thing is we won.”
He added: “It was a big chance as well for new players to impress the home fans and I’m glad they made a big impression in their first game.
“Everyone has to be motivated and for our club this is the fastest way to bounce back from a defeat, so we have to keep going this way.”
