Doma United are hoping to win the Federation Cup, even if they do make changes to their team for the early rounds.

The Savannah Tigers will take the approach of many top NPFL sides by involving their first team players in the starting lineups for the competition on Wednesday against Edel.

And midfielder Samuel Matthew insists they are serious about winning the Round of 16 and progressing deep into the FA Cup.

He told Lodgexpress official website about their ambitions ahead of Wednesday’s clash:

“We want to compete greatly in this competition, we want to attack each team to the fullest. We worked so hard to be in this situation where we can compete confidently with any one.

“For me, cup competitions are the soul of football because it represents a chance for lower division clubs to play against Premier League clubs and can give historic moments for fans. That’s what we’re up against on Wednesday.

“We want to attack this cup, we want to attack tomorrow’s game, we will put a great performance out there, for me, is a Premier League style. The lads feel this responsibility as well: a highly-motivated team plays against us and the players feel this responsibility, so they really look forward to it, I really look forward to it as well.

“It’s another opportunity to defend our identity as a top club and show our passion.

“We prepare for the game in the same way we prepared for every other game, with the same access, probably even more detail, but with the same hunger to win it.”
