Bendel Insurance midfielder Divine Nwachukwu was pleased with their performance for their 0-0 draw with matchday 16 opponents Gombe United last night.
The result sees the Benin Arsenal qualify for the Super Six playoffs tournament that will determine the champions of the Nigeria Premier Football League 2023 season.
With Bendel Insurance currently unbeaten in all their 16 games so far, Nwachukwu told Lodgexpress official website: “I am very happy because I feel we’re doing so good at the moment. I think we’ve played a couple of good games and have recorded impressive results, but the most important thing is that we have sealed a spot at the playoffs. Now we have to focus on finishing the season without a defeat.”
On his relationship with coach Monday Odigie, Nwachukwu added: “He’s a boss that gives me confidence, we talk a lot in training, he explains many things as do my teammates. I think it’s very helpful for me.
“The next goal now is to improve and continue to play in this manner.”
Bendel Insurance are top of group A table with 32 points from 16 games.
