Bendel Insurance continued with their unbeaten run in the Nigeria Premier Football League over the weekend after holding Plateau United to a 1-1 draw at New Jos Stadium.
The Benin Arsenal, a club that gained promotion to the topflight division from tier two league, offered almost all the attacking threat across the 90 minutes but were unable to find a winner which would have given them an eighth league win.

Izuchukwu Chimezie netted for the hosts before Deputy Echeta leveled things in the 72nd minutes.
Still, Bendel Insurance remains unbeaten in 12 games – a run which goes back to January – and they are only four points apart of second placed Akwa United.
From the creator of goals in subsequent games to the scorer, of course in Bendel’s star-studded line-up, many players can be credited for the deadly attacking football they produce, however it was Deputy Echeta in particular in their 1-1 draw at Plateau United who was especially instrumental.
The hard-earned point for the visitors, who had over six shot on target all match, cements their place further on top of the group A standing.
