Plateau United defender Christopher Nwaeze expressed his delight at getting his first goal for the club.
The Nigerian central defender netted the only goal of the game from a stunning volley in a 1-0 win over Katsina United on Wednesday.
The Peace Boys were made to work hard throughout the contest.
It was Nwaeze who scored what turned out to be the winner early in the game.
Speaking about getting his first goal for the club, Nwaeze told the Lodgexpress official website: “It’s an amazing feeling.
“I’m so happy to be here and so happy to score my first goal and help us to win.
“I hope to score a lot more goals for Plateau United this season.
“I really, really want to do well here and have real determination to be successful with this team.
