Chinedu Ufere says joining Sporting Lagos is proving the right choice.
The Nigerian midfield playmaker has been outstanding in all Sporting Lagos’ games so far and was again brilliant against Niger Tornadoes on Sunday night, having arrived in the summer from Doma United.

Now he tells Lodgexpress official website about the decision after their 2-1 win over Niger Tornadoes.
“There were lots of options at the end of last season, but I think Sporting Lagos was right for me. The club gained promotion to the topflight division in less than two years after being established, has a coach who knows me very well. So it was a right move for me,” he said.
“We have started the season on a strong foot with eight points after five games. We are developing as a team and I think we can do really well this campaign.
Ufere also went on to admit that it was emotional saying goodbye to fans of Doma United, but was happy to reunite with his old friends during their matchday three fixture.
“I had a good time there though it was short. When I arrived there the fans were great to me. It was a good career that I had at Doma United. But now it’s a new step and I want to show the Premier League and also Sporting Lagos that they made the right decision to sign me.”
