Bendel Insurance winger Micah Ojodomo has hailed the current scoring form of Imade Osarenkhoe after victory over Plateau United.
The towering forward headed home from a wonderful set-piece against Plateau United in the matchday two of their league fixture at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, followed up with the goal against Akwa United in their first league game last weekend and his 93rd minute winner in front of his fans and family on Thursday.
“Renkie has a knack of scoring great goals this season for us and at vital times. That’s a great asset for us to have,” Ojodomo told Lodgexpress.com during his post-game interview.
“This season he is getting his chance and he is such a threat for the opposition. He causes alot of problems to the defences and he did that again against Plateau United’s. It was a great victory for us and the fans.
“Renkie has come on leaps and bounds. He has always had this hunger and drive to finish every ball in the net and he is so much stronger these days.
“Sometimes he has to play up front as a lone forward and when you have that responsibility you cannot afford to lose the ball when you are in that position just like he did today.
“For a striker to do what he does, he has to be strong to deal with that and that is something his game has gained and he is scoring goals as well. He is a proper top striker in Africa at the moment.
“If he continues this form up to the end of this season he is going to be great for us.”
