Bayelsa United center-back Endurance Ebedebiri believes the team are in a better position to avoid relegation this season.
Ebedebiri made his return to the team’s lineup against Sunshine Stars and starred alongside his defensive partner Yinusa Sheriff as they secured a hard fought 2-1 win.
Now the Yenegoa outfit must try and get just one point in their last two games against Rivers United and Niger Tornadoes to survive the drop zone this season.
“Yeah definitely [it gives us hope and relieve],” Ebedebiri told Lodgexpress official website.
“Of course victories give the fans and players confidence and we want to take that into the next games and keep picking up every available points.
“Today’s result is a big one, we came into the game wanting to win it. We have had the results we wanted in recent games and our performances didn’t deserve that.
“We took the chance when they came, we are happy and want to continue like this.”
