Plateau United goalkeeper Bamidele Adeniyi was delighted with their 1-0 victory over Katsina United.
Adeniyi was certainly relieved at keeping a clean sheet for his first official Plateau United game since joining from Shooting Stars during the summer transfer window.
Adeniyi told Lodgexpress.com: “That was very pleasing.
“As a goalkeeper, you do take it personally. Rightly or wrongly, you are judged on your clean sheets.
“I’m happy to get the win. I think the performance probably deserved a bit more than just the one goal, but overall we dominated the game and deserved the three points.
“As the game went on and we were only winning 1-0, it was a little bit edgy, but the defenders stayed solid. Everyone chipped in, made sure nothing happened and we came away with what we deserved.”
