Kwara United midfielder Ayobami Junior was full of praise for their attack after their 2-1 victory over Akwa United on Wednesday.
The midfielder who was replaced by the eventual match winner, Ahmed Jimoh, was effusive in his appraisal for his side’s attackers, who all combined to good effect as the Illorin outfit secured their first three points of the season.
In Kwara United’s colossal victory, Ayobami Jr produced a commanding performance in the heart of the Harmony Boys’ midfield.

Junior told Lodgexpress.com: “It was a good win because when you’re winning 2-1 at home, it’s tough to defend till the end.”
“We knew what we had to do and, thankfully, Alalade Wasiu gave us the opening goal from a superb strike before we got the all important goal from super-sub, Ahmed Jimoh.
“Alalade’s a great player, and it’s always great to play with him,” the Harmony Boys’ midfielder continued. “But don’t forget Jimoh’s input; he’s such a great role model to a lot of footballers. He works so hard and he came in today and scored the winner.”
