Andrew Majalisa hails team ethic of top three hopefuls Doma United

Doma United full-back Andrew Majalisa is excited about their historic top three tilt.

With four games left, Doma Utd’s fate is now in their own hands and victories in all their remaining matches would see them back qualify for the most illustrious Super Six competition for the very first time in the club’s history.

They are currently third on group B standing with 22 points from 14 games and one adrift fourth placed Abia Warriors.

“Our objective at the start of the season was to win games, avoid defeats and secure as many points as possible, but now we have a dream, so why not fight for this?” he told Lodgexpress.com.

“We have arrived here in this position as a team. Usman, Chibuike (Charles), Barnabas – whoever scores, it’s good for the team. That’s the most important thing: the team.

“We don’t build our goalscoring hopes on a single player and here anyone can score so long as we get the maximum points. The importance is placed on the group, and that’s why we are where we are now.

“We can’t think too far ahead, instead just try to play the game and keep going like this, and then when we finish the season we can see how we did.

“The atmosphere at the team is very great and everyone is very happy because we’re doing well, we’re playing so well in our first season, so now is the time to enjoy this.

“When we play at home and we score early, it’s good for us because then we can keep the ball. We know when we have to launch an attack, when we have to clear the ball and we can play with width.

“Now we have a very tough game against Bayelsa United, because they’re playing very well, but we’re always confident.”
