Akwa United fullback Samuel Ganda says they can be happy after their 0-0 draw with Bendel Insurance.

Ganda insists the Promise Keepers showed the right attitude for the point.

He told Lodgexpress.com, “We knew it was going to be a tough game. Maybe it’s a missed opportunity because we created chance after chance. I thought we deserved the three points, but it’s a good point here today.

“We’ve taken huge steps in a short period of time. We have not started the season as we’d love to and we know that . Everyone in the team has made a huge impact. Long may that continue.

“We’ve all got to be proud of how we played against Bendel Insurance, but we haven’t achieved anything yet.”

On Akwa United’s defensive record, Ganda added: “We work really hard on the training pitch. It starts from the front, we work really hard as a team. It’s a joy to have Baddy [Badmus Nurudeen] in goal for our team too, he was really outstanding.”
