The current defending champions’ gloveman was back at it again between the sticks, providing a series of top class saves taking his team along way towards a crucial 1 point on the road at Akure Township Stadium.

In total, Adewale made 5 fantastic saves, displaying superb techniques and reflexes to make it in the side for another cleansheet away from home.

Adeyinka told Lodgexpress after the game:

“Obviously, we had aimed for the win and were hopeful of the three points, so it’s a bit frustrating, but, in general, I thought we controlled the game really well and we did well in stopping them from utilizing their chances. We recorded another clean sheet and now we want to create a little bit more up front and to score a goal, but yeah, it is what it is.”

Center-back, Denis Nya returned to the starting lineup and his defensive partnership with Samson Gbadebo made progress as they played a key role to the cleansheet result. The duo played together for the first time since the start of the second round of the season and Adeyinka hopes they can maintain the run in the rest of the campaign.

“The more matches you play together, the easier it gets,” added Adeyinka. “Gbadebo and Nya are two fantastic players and we train every day and play a lot of games together, so for every game that we play, we get better and better. Hopefully, we can keep improving in the remaining games and hope to keep more clean sheets together.”
