“I am very delighted to be here at Niger Tornadoes,” Shola told Lodgexpress official website.

“When the opportunity presented itself to move here, I did not have any doubts. I spoke a lot with my friends there and they told me a lot of things about Tornadoes, I’ve already received a warm welcome from everyone.

“My objective right now is to give my best to help the team. I want to give my all so we can earn points and improve. I see the team is competitive, but were unlucky in some games during the first round, but this is football. We’ve got to keep taking each game one at a time, always believing in ourselves and having a positive mentality.”

On working with Bala Mohammed, he added: “I had a conversation with the coach and he told me what I need to do on the pitch, he knows which roles I can fit in. I told him that I have faith in him and in my colleagues, so I believe that by working hard each day, we can turn this situation around and ensure Tornadoes finish in the top 3 of Group B and make these fantastic fans happy.”
