Operatives of the Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) on Tuesday February 9, rescued two suspected arms robbers from being lynched by irate mob at Lamingo area of Jos, Plateau state.
It was learnt that the suspects identified as Victor, Semchan and a third accomplice robbed a lady who runs a store after threatening her with a gun.
According to reports, the lady immediately raised alarm which drew the attention of residents. The armed robbers then tried to escape in a Keke Napep but were hotly chased by a motorist who blocked the tricycle.
They then took to their heels into the adjoining bush but were chased by residents of the area who caught two of them while the third person managed to flee.
The mob descended heavily on them, beating hell out of their lives before the arrival of OPSH operatives who immediately rescued the suspects and took them to their office.
